Meet Blossom our wellbeing dog

At Beck Legal, we place high importance on wellbeing — it’s a commitment to creating a supportive, balanced, and positive workplace for our team.
We’re thrilled to introduce Blossom, our official Wellbeing Dog, who has returned to the office after a very special journey.
Blossom first joined Beck Legal as part of her puppy training journey with Guide Dogs Victoria, under the care of our Solicitor, Shannon Chessells. For 9 months, Blossom was a beloved part of our team.
Although she didn’t quite pass her Guide Dog assessment, Shannon was given the opportunity to bring her home — and we were delighted to offer her a permanent place back in our office.
Three days a week Blossom continues to do what she does best: spreading smiles, easing stress, and reminding us all to take a moment to breathe.
Blossom does come with a policy that includes important details about cleanliness, behaviour, and the responsibilities that Shannon and our staff will need to uphold.
Whether she’s curling up beside a team member during a busy day, or accompanying us on a coffee run, Blossom is a gentle reminder of the importance of connection and care in the workplace.
We’re proud to have her as part of our team — and we know you’ll love her just as much as we do.

Dale Boyd
Conveyancing
Client Manager
With a real estate background and a keen interest to use his transferrable skills, Dale joined the Beck Legal team as a Conveyancing Client Manager in 2014.
Dale had been looking for a role where he could put his family first, as the long hours and weekend work in the real estate industry was taking its toll.
Keen to use his industry knowledge in a role where he could continue to work with people, achieve results, be challenged and rewarded his efforts.
When asked what he enjoys most about working at Beck Legal he said:
“It’s the team environment. I still have the independence to do my own work but if I need help from the team or any of the Directors they are there. I like that everyone is here for each other.
What sticks out to me is it is great seeing the Directors leading by example, putting their families first and leaving at 3.30pm some days to pick up their kids from school. They are modelling work/life balance ensuring they have longevity in their careers and won’t burn out by solely focusing on their work and putting in long hours every day.
The law firm is more progressive in what we do, in our systems and our we look after our people.”
