We were thrilled to open the doors after hours of our Bendigo office last week for June’s Be.Bendigo After 5 networking event, welcoming 80 professionals from across our local business community.
Guests were welcomed by Beck Legal Senior Associate and 2025 Young Professional Award Winner Shaun Stephenson, alongside Be.Bendigo’s CEO Hayley Tibbett, who officially kicked off the evening. Attendees then heard from representatives across each of our practice areas, providing a snapshot of the breadth of expertise within our team and the ways we support our clients.
A highlight of the night was hearing from Shaun Spence, Bendigo Health Foundation Director of Fundraising, who shared powerful insights into the impact of the ‘Matter for a Cause’ initiative and the important role it will play in supporting the redevelopment of the Palliative Care Unit. It was a meaningful reminder of how business and the community can come together to positively contribute to broader community outcomes.
The event was made even more memorable thanks to our fantastic local collaborators. A special thank you to Flynn’s Winery for their pop-up wine cellar, which was a standout feature of the evening, and to Sophie from Whisk Catering, whose exceptional food was enjoyed by all. Guests also had the opportunity to enjoy local beers from Bendigo Brewing, adding to the celebration of local business.
Most importantly, the night was filled with great conversation, new connections and plenty of energy which is exactly what Be.Bendigo After 5 events are all about.
