Congratulations to the Mallee MRI Appeal for reaching their overall target of $2.6 million for a new MRI machine at Swan Hill District Health Hospital.
The community has rallied together through fundraising initiatives from businesses, organisations and personal donations to reach their target.
We are proud to have played a part in contributing to this important outcome for our community.
When Beck Legal set out to support the Mallee MRI Appeal, we wanted to set up something that would raise as much money as possible and empower the community we live and work in.
With more than half of the adult Australian population not having a legal Will, the idea of a ‘Will Power’ campaign was settled on as a great way for people to get their affairs in order, all while giving back to the community.
When the campaign kicked off in November, we anticipated they would need every day until the June 30 deadline to hit the $50k target we had set. But with the community’s incredible support we reached their target a month before the deadline. “We are truly thankful for everyone that has supported the Will Power campaign” says Beck Legal Managing Director. Daniel Cole. “We could not have done it without the community’s support.”
Behind the scenes it’s been a collaborative effort. “I can’t thank our team enough for stepping up over the last 6 months for such a wonderful cause”, Daniel Cole says.
Since the official beginning of the Mallee MRI Appeal headed up by Paula Starrs and Adam Laughlin the fundraising efforts gained incredible momentum. ‘It’s a huge credit to them both” Daniel Cole comments. “For $2.6 million to be raised by a regional community is truly remarkable. Things like the Mallee MRI Appeal really galvanise the community and show their true character. The Appeal is almost at their overall target and that’s because of everyone has come together. Everyone who has contributed to the Mallee MRI Appeal through their own initiatives or donations should be incredibly proud of their efforts.”

Reaching the $2.6M target means Swan Hill and surrounding communities will have access to better healthcare now and into the future.
